Clinical Presentation, Management and Outcome of Gestational Trophoblastic Diseases Admitted in Chittagong Medical College Hospital

Background: Gestational Trophoblastic Disease (GTD) is a heterogeneous group of diseases that includes partial and complete hydatidiform mole, invasive choriocarcinoma placental site trophoblastic tumour. The study aimed to determine the clinical presentation management options outcome GTD in patients admitted tertiary hospital Bangladesh.
 Materials methods: This prospective observational included 50 with from Obstetrics Gynaecology Department Chittagong Medical College Hospital, during period July 2013 December 2013. demographic profile, presentation, management, complications were studied.
 Results: Mean age was 25.40 ± 8.34 years most (46%) 20 - 29 years. 42% participants primigravida. commonest symptom after bleeding per-vaginum (94%) amenorrhea (90%). Maximum cases (80%) mole. Rate progression mole found 6% 10% respectively. Suction evacuation hysterectomy treatment option. One patient (2%) expired due excessive bleeding.
 Conclusion: majority are cured by simple suction uterine curettage. Regular follow up important estimate true incidence this disease.
